Level: 0.55 m (Linne nam Beathach/Victoria Bridge) BUT the level was definitely higher than this may suggest due to significant snow melt. This was a much hotter day than the proceeding days.
Weather: 10 - 15 °C, sunny/cloudy/warm breeze
Group: 19 of us.
Time: 1hr25 plus the 20 min or so hike up and down.
Vibes
Due to snow melt, this was much higher than we'd seen previously, and more sections were actually paddable than usual, depending on how sendy you are! Our usual slides weren't the most inviting swim, but there were still fun chances for jumping in.
Features
- Speed - Still a chute, but thew you into a wall at the end and the eddy at the bottom was flowing downstream. You may benefit from a spraydeck.
- Ecstasy - Not suitable for out of boat fun, but could be enjoyed in a kayak.
- Pinball - At this level, not suitable for a crewed kayak. Portage.
- Crack - Scary!! Three people went for it, but in my book, they're nuts.
Other Notes
The walk is much more pleasant now the path has had some work finished.
