Vibes

Very front heavy river section, with both features in the first 3 km, but plenty of entertaining bimble (grade 3 or lower) for the rest of the way. Perhaps a good "chiller" day option for a Scotland trip, apart from the first feature anyway.

Features

  1. Dulsie Rapids Right at the get in, a gorge section with difficult line of sight, but easy inspection. Plan your eddies beforehand and you'll be fine. At this level, aim for the curler on the hole 1/3 of the way down. Some undercuts to be way of when running the broadly left (only) line. This feature looks like it could be portaged with faff.
  2. Leven's Gorge A slightly easier feature. Starting with a drop that's probably easiest to run along the curling flow. The hole may flip you and then the flow goes into a rock. There's a far away blind corner on it, thankfully not into anything, but can make for an awkward boat chase

Other Notes

There's a lot of bimble to entertain on the way down. A lot of blind corners on these bimbles, but they're easily inspected in boat or by eddy hopping. At this level, the bibmle was seldom scrapey.
